Materials used in the manufacture of the musical instruments and in shipping:

• Aluminum: 60% is recycled “pre-consumer” *
• Stainless steel: 50%-70% recycled “pre-consumer”
• Wood: Only wood types from FSC certified suppliers.
• Polymers: ABS (thermoplastic) is approximately 80% recycled and can be recycled over and over again as it can be heated and melted many times.
• The PUR plastic (polyurethane) used in the manufacture of the clubs is 100% recyclable.

'“Pre-consumer”: Material that is recycled from production processes before it reaches the consumer.

Packaging: We use recyclable materials where possible. Most of our custom packaging is made from cardboard, and we use recycled filler to minimize the use of plastic packaging.

Percussion Play warrants our materials and quality against defects from the date of shipment, provided that installation is performed by competent persons in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.

We reserve the right to reject any claim if you cannot provide documentation of regular inspection and maintenance.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Limited Twenty-Five (25) Year Warranty – Percussion Play offers an unparalleled limited 25-year warranty on metal parts used in the load-bearing structure of stands and frames against structural failure caused by deterioration due to weathering, defective materials or workmanship.

Limited ten (10) year warranty – on wood, composite materials, aluminum and stainless steel (includes tones and fasteners) against structural failure caused by deterioration due to weathering, defective materials or workmanship.

Limited two (2) year warranty – on mallets and components used to create sounds on our instruments, as well as associated fasteners, including tuner fasteners.

These limited warranties do not cover color fading, damage caused by excessive wear and tear, vandalism, or neglect.

The musical instruments are independent of electricity or other external energy sources. They are played with mallets or hands and feet.

Quality and durability:

• The musical instruments are made of tough, durable, high-quality materials and are designed for outdoor use.

Cleaning:

The musical instruments are washed with water and a regular mild soap if necessary.

Social:

• The musical instruments do not require any musical skills and are aimed at all people, with or without physical or mental challenges. They are handicap-friendly with easy access for wheelchair users. They can be placed in all types of outdoor spaces and, if desired, also indoors.

Ground-mounted installation involves digging a hole to install the instrument's legs. The legs are installed directly into the ground, after which post concrete is added.

Surface mounted installation is ideal when digging into the ground is not possible (e.g. concrete or drop base that you do not want to damage). 'Surface plates' are fixed/drilled in the desired location using recommended and suitable bolts (not supplied) for a quick and easy solution.

The purpose of a secured surface is to reduce a child's accident and reduce the severity of an injury. As our instruments are intended to be played on while standing on the ground or sitting in a wheelchair and not climbing on them, there is no requirement for shock absorbing secured surface under BS EN 1177.

To protect against damage, instruments must have sufficient 'clearance'. Clearance is the minimum amount of space around equipment that will reduce the risk of collision. If the musical instruments are installed correctly and following our installation instructions, the instruments will comply with the dimensional requirements of BS EN 1176.

Wear and tear warning! These instruments will be popular, so if you plan to install them in grass, you may want to consider some form of ground protection, such as grass mats, to prevent muddy surfaces by the instruments.

It is important to remember that from initial design to equipment selection, installation and initial risk assessment, to routine maintenance and inspections, any organisation or company that installs or manages a playground must take responsibility for the overall safety of the equipment being fitted.
