An Inclusive Outdoor Space for Music, Community and Generations
The Music Garden at the Søparken Nursing Home in Lemvig is a unique, publicly accessible installation of outdoor musical instruments designed to create community and sensory-stimulating experiences. The Music Garden brings people together across generations and offers an inclusive and recreational outdoor space where both the nursing home residents, relatives and the local community can meet for music and shared experiences.
No musical skills are necessary to participate, making Musikhaven a place where everyone can join in and enjoy the music.
Universal Design and Inclusive Community
The Music Garden was created with a clear vision of creating an outdoor space where music could function as a gathering point for everyone – regardless of age or ability. With a focus on universal design, the instruments from Percussion Play are accessible to everyone and invite both children, adults and the elderly to participate in musical expression. The Music Garden is the place where generations can meet in community and togetherness, and where music can be the link that connects people across ages and abilities.
